In recent months, I have been busy uploading and tagging several hundred 4K UHD and HD stock video footage clips onto Pond5.
I have a back-catalogue of HD video dating back to 2009, totalling several thousand clips. I have footage from the UK, Portugal and Nepal. Recent subject matter includes stormy seas at Penzance and Porthleven in Cornwall, the M1 Smart Motorway, the M6 Motorway in Cumbria, wildlife in the north of Scotland, the new Scottish spaceport at Talmine, Scottish wildcat kittens at Edinburgh Zoo, to name but a few.
With the addition of Reuters video, Newsflare and Cover Media onto the Pond 5 platform, it is fast becoming a great resource for film makers for editorial video stock footage.
I'm also editing highlights of my clips onto my YouTube channel and video researchers can find an increasing amount of my work viewable in a more easy format than individual clips on Pond5. These are not films per se, rather the highlights of the footage I shot at a given location.

One of the highlights of the autumn and winter months in the Scottish Highlands is the amazing and beautiful Aurora Borealis - or the Northern Lights.
I was fortunate enough to capture this display in the Dornoch Firth in Sutherland, Scotland, UK. It is not easy to snap the auroras, as they are relatively rare and sometimes short-lived or obscured by cloud. Getting to the right location in time is no easy business and of course, on clear nights in the autumn, winter and spring, very cold.
As I now have 4K UHD video capability, I hope to see this breathtakingly beautiful phenomena again to make some time-lapse footage and of course, more amazing images!
